Veytraq respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use Veytraq, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

When using Veytraq, you may provide information such as:

• container or Bill of Lading references;
• shipping documents you choose to upload;
• feedback messages; and
• an email address if you voluntarily provide one for a response.

You should avoid uploading information that is not necessary for shipment tracking or the service you are requesting.

Information collected automatically

When you use Veytraq, we may automatically collect limited technical and usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. This may include:

• IP address;
• browser and device type;
• operating system;
• pages or features used;
• request and access times;
• referring pages;
• application errors and performance information; and
• security and abuse-prevention information.

We may also use cookies or similar technologies where necessary for functionality, security, preferences, or analytics.

How information is used

We may use information to provide shipment tracking services, process shipping documents you upload, display and maintain shipment information, operate saved or recent shipment functionality, diagnose technical problems, improve Veytraq, prevent abuse or unauthorized use, respond to feedback or support requests, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.

Shipment information

Shipment references and tracking information may originate from carriers, vessel information services, schedules, ports, terminals, or other relevant sources. Veytraq may organize and present this information to make shipment tracking easier to understand. Veytraq does not claim ownership of third-party shipment information.

Uploaded documents

When you upload a shipping document, such as a Bill of Lading or arrival notice, Veytraq reads the shipment information on it to track your shipment. This can include references, container and seal numbers, vessel and voyage, ports and places, dates, the shipper, consignee and notify party, the commodity and the weight. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy when you upload, you allow Veytraq to store this information and use it to provide and improve the service, including learning recurring routes, carriers and trade patterns so that tracking and predictions become more accurate. Information from your documents is not shown to other users. Please upload only documents you are entitled to share.

Third-party services

Veytraq may use third-party service providers to support functions such as hosting, infrastructure, shipment information, vessel information, document processing, security, and application performance. These providers may process limited information as necessary to perform their services. Their handling of information may also be governed by their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

Data retention

Information from uploaded documents is kept for up to 24 months from upload and then deleted or anonymized. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner through the Veytraq Feedback form.

Veytraq retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, resolve technical or operational issues, and meet applicable legal requirements.

When information is no longer reasonably required for those purposes, it may be deleted or anonymized, subject to legitimate backup, security, fraud-prevention, or legal retention requirements.

Security

Veytraq uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no website, online service, or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide rights concerning your personal information, such as the right to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your data is handled.

Children

Veytraq is not intended for children who are below the minimum age required to consent to online services under applicable law. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children for purposes unrelated to providing the service.

International processing

Veytraq and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you are located. Where required, appropriate measures will be used to protect information transferred across borders.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Veytraq develops, our services change, or legal requirements evolve. When material changes are made, the effective date at the top of this policy will be updated.
